Premiere of new string sextet, FLUX ALLUVIA

Last year I was delighted to receive a commission to write something inspired by the River Tweed. I was even happier when Amici, an incredibly talented string sextet, agreed to perform a piece if I wrote one for them. And so, FLUX ALLUVIA was born.

It will be performed for the first time on Sunday 17 March at 3pm in Kelso Old Parish Church. If you live locally, do come along. The concert will also be filmed.

Second prize in composing competition

I am delighted to announce that I’ve been awarded Second Prize in The Sheffield Chorale 50th Anniversary Composing Competition.

My song, Greet Again the Mountain, will be performed by the choir in November at their 50th anniversary concert in Sheffield on Saturday 16 November. Venue tba.
